Working out

Read more because I think people get tired of hearing me blather on about it.

Ironically, working out did NOT help make me any more awake!  Still sleepy as all get out with the added bonus of now I can’t quite feel my arms.

I took my exercise mat and 3lb free weights downstairs next to the total gym.  I did my normal round of exercises on it, and then did some leg-oriented aerobics type exercises on the mat.  I think I missed something I normally do because even with the new stuff I only exercised for 30 minutes.  I’m too sleepy to figure out what I missed though, and I honestly could not think of anything more to do after that so I quit.

Going to have to have Tony show me how to lower it again, because then I could do more than 2 sets of each exercise.  As it is, my flabby arms can’t take any more.

I think my leg is healed enough to try out a Kisado class again next week.  It hasn’t bothered me in days but I don’t think there’s another class until next Friday because of testing/promotions so that works out fairly well.

NO IT DOESN’T.  Argh.  We’ll be out of town.  Well, guess my leg will be good and rested by the time I get around to going again.  Will have to stick to the at-home stuff on an almost daily basis then.  I think tomorrow afternoon I will try popping in my Jillian Michael’s No Trouble Zones DVD again.  I love, loved it when I used it 5x a week 2 years ago but the last time I tried I only got about 1/4 of the way through the DVD and had to fight throwing up for about 20 minutes.  Maybe it was just a bad day and I was dehydrated or something.

Tony wants to start walking in the mornings about 7:30 but I am NOT a morning person and the kids aren’t up then.  The Roomie may start going with him; they can walk and then work out before The Roomie goes to bed for the day.

Tony also wants to take pictures of each other so we can have them to mark our progress. : (  The bad thing about beginning to exercise, with me anyway, is that all my fat gets squishier on top as soon as my muscles start to harden underneath.  So even though I’ve been exercising for a couple weeks straight now, my stomach especially looks worse than ever.  Not sure I want pictures but I’d like to be able to actually see when/where we make progress.
