Dismay
I just got out the tote of baby blankets to begin making this second quilt for the other twin (brief recap of this here) and to my immense dismay discovered that the blankets are identical.
Of course they’re identical.
They were for twin boys.
For some reason I had it in my head that I hoped they wouldn’t be, because I wanted this 2nd quilt be very similar in appearance but not the same. I think if I were a twin after years of being matchy I’d want something different.
Then again, they’re only 2… or maybe 3 by now and the quilts aren’t for the twins they’re for the twins’ mother.
So here I go. Off to make a matching quilt.
How incredibly boring.
Maybe I can lay this one out a little differently, so it doesn’t end up looking just exactly like this. Although, it was pretty.
