Semi-aggressive are awesome. They tend to not die too fast and don’t breed like guppies. Don’t worry TOO much about overcrowding. ;) We once had 3 tiger barbs, 3 danios and 3 dollar coin fish in...

mytiger-myheart: What have you done today? Brushed teeth from a hose in the back yard, dressed kids and took them to the gas station to use the bathroom this morning, took my son to taekwondo, finished grocery shopping, helped hubby hook the plumbing back up, watered my baby plants waiting to be put in the garden, went to Lowes AND Home Depot, Walmart and PetSmart, made dinner, and knit 10...

atonalginger replied to your post: PetSmart how big is your tank? 2 algae eaters sounds like overkill (worked at pmart for 3 years.) But they should be fine. The fish you bought are stronger than other tropical fish. Just hang on to that receipt. Also Those are some of my favorite fish in the 20 gallon tank. I tend to over crowd a little, I know, it’s bad. The info there on the algae...

PetSmart
We ended up with 2 algae eaters and 3 small albino tiger barbs. I cleaned the tank when we got home, but I still think it might kill them. Didn’t quite think this through. Next time: Clean tank, wait a couple days. We shall see.  At least they have a return policy if the fish die in a week.  I kept my receipt!

saralaughs replied to your post: buahaha I have been wanting to compost for years. The township even offers a class and a free bin. But the OH has never allowed it. :( I wasn’t able to find the charcoal filters I need, except at Walmart with the A/C filters but they were 3 or 4 to a pack and I didn’t have the extra $10 to spend today. What I’m going to do time being is just...

Peace
It’s semi quiet in my house.  I’m reveling in it. Jeremiah was tired from getting up to go to taekwondo today so he’s laying on his bed, snuggled up, reading himself a Lego Ninjago book. Hannah is flitting around.  She’s supposed to be laying on her bed, but she’s just of just quietly and randomly here and there, not getting into trouble. I’m going to sit...

I finally talked Tony into letting me compost.  He was against it at first, saying it attracts snakes and bugs but I won him over with my womanly charms pig-headedness gloriously worded rebuttal. This is the beginnings of my compost.  Lunch’s leftover apple cores (cut up) and potato chip crumbs, this morning’s coffee filter and grounds and the paper towel I made sandwiches on torn...

How do I procure doughnuts this morning?
If I get the kids up and we leave as soon as possible I could go to the gas station and buy a baggie of little chocolate covered hostess doughnuts. If I get the kids up RIGHT NOW AND WE LEAVE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE I could swing through the drive through of DunkinDonuts and get us each a tasty delight. PLAN FORMED!
