We’re home. Against my better judgement? I’m tired of being gone. The kids are miserable. I’ve burned up all my grocery money for this week in gas. I got off work late and instead of driving out to my MIL’s we grabbed Taco Bell and came home. It’s almost bedtime. I can take the kids to the gas station or they can just pee in the toilet and we won’t flush...
This is hard.
Unrelated to anything
Old Navy had knit dresses on sale for $8 on Saturday. I bought a black one. I should have bought 2. Maybe 2 black, maybe I could have even stretched my limits to buy the bright green or blue one. They’re super comfy and it looks great on me even tho it’s that time of the month and I’m all puffy and sad. Guess what I’ll be wearing to do all my running and working...
We'll call it visiting!
Stayed at Mom’s last night. Came home at 9:30 this morning to wake up Tony so we could get to work. First thing we have to drill thru the brick wall to run the pipe for the exhaust vent. He’s been trying to drill through the wall for an hour. Tonight we’re going to go to my MIL’s and let the kids play with her since she’s off and stay there. Probably come home...
Food poisoning, too?
Seriously?! No kitchen sink. No flushing toilet. No night’s sleep because I was too nauseous. Wonder what’ll happen next?
Thorns: So tired I feel like crying. Going to cut out the kitchen sink and all its plumbing when Tony gets home. If you buy a truck you will find yourself hauling 10’ pieces of 2” PVC at 9:30pm. Feel like I’m grasping at straws to stay positive and praise-full today. I suddenly have to work tomorrow morning and Sunday afternoon, Sunday afternoon’s 2 hr shift being an...
Hands and feet so itchy today. May need benadryl? Dug holes til 1 am. Called 811 this morning, they’re going to come mark the lines for us. Makes it easier. I get to go ALL the places today. Including refilling prescriptions, taekwondo, grocery shopping, the yarn shop, taco bell and buying our gourami fish a girlfriend. Amazed at how things work out. Tony got a profit sharing check...

Yes, that was all 4 Bowmans plus a Roomie that you saw in the backyard at midnight digging holes with a flashlight to try to find the sewer lines. Related: I was 4 days without caffeine; record broken. Mountain Dew imbibed.
In 20 minutes when Tony gets home we’re going to get to go out in the back yard, with the kids in tow, in the possible rain and dig a gigantic hole so we can see if the problem is a tree root growing into our sewer line. Then we’ll also get to take apart the kitchen sink in case those pipes are the problem. Some days I really miss our apartment with its super awesome speedy...

I put the user name in my Zelda game as “Des”, since well, you know… that’s my name. At different parts of the game the dialog of the characters will says things like, “Don’t worry! Des is coming to save us!” It makes me feel phenomenally stupid.
Cosmo Sex Tip #413
queenmpreg: when he’s least expecting it, confess you’re from the future
It quit raining
So I planted green beans (4 plants), cucumbers (4 plants), turnips (3 but possibly 2 are on their way out), roma tomatoes (2 plants), sweet peppers (2 plants), hot peppers (2 plants) and aloe (1) in the garden along with the onions and potatoes that were already there!! On the 3rd I’ll plant 2 big boy tomato plants and my squash and zucchini plants. I need to buy the tomatoes tomorrow so...
Jeremiah and I make a great team. I look up the walkthrough and tell him how to do it, he does it. I tend to die more than he does.
Stuck on Zelda Twilight Princess again. Found the LAST monkey in the forest temple. It’s on top of a rock and we can’t figure out how to get it down no matter what. Can’t find it in the online walkthrough either.
Today is the day I’m supposed to put my babies in my garden. Only it’s storming. Hmm…
I haven’t had any caffeine since Monday morning when I drank about 8oz of Mountain Dew because I ran out of coffee on Sunday. So none yesterday, none today. I never did get that weird caffeine withdrawal headache, which is weird because I basically mainline the stuff. That being said… Someone should send me some chocolate cake.
Home. I hurt so badly all over. Tossed and turned last night with back and leg pain, hoped it would let up as the day wore on. It didn’t. Time to shower the kids because they are smelly. Want to go to sleep. Not even knit. Want to sit around and watch TV with Tony though. Didn’t get to really see him when he got home last night or today before work because it was running around...
woolysoft replied to your post: Do over Exercise is bad for you. It makes you hurt. Couch potatoes unite! Seriously. I did crunches too. 18mo ago I was doing a workout video every day and I looked GREAT. Now I just look good with my clothes on. LOL I’d really just love to eat a cheez burger.
Bad night’s sleep. Hannah’s been having bad dreams so she climbed into my bed and cried in her sleep all night long. It was better than the night before when she punched me in the face, in her sleep. I tossed and turned, my legs and lower back are hurting me so badly. I did 15 lunches with each leg yesterday, and I’m hella outta shape so maybe that’s it? I can’t...
No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his...– Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom (via the-attentionally-blind) This is what we’re trying to do with our kids every day. Even, and maybe especially, in the world of “Christians” people are mostly just religious without bothering to understand or act out the love that started...
I’m slowly learning contentment and happiness. To be happy, find the silver lining in everything. To not immediately jump to the negative. To not assume ever situation is worse than it is. To pace myself and rest. To allow myself to smile. Today was a great day.
One box Zataran’s Jambalaya 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels 1 can low sodium black beans, drained 2 HUGE boneless/skinless chicken breasts cut up 2 1/2 cups water = One super delicious lunch the kids don’t like and don’t want to eat. More for me.
dammitkate replied to your post: I’m inexplicably tired. I don’t understand. I… If I hear why again… I might lose it. Yes! I must have, honestly, heard “Hey Mama, I have a question…” 600 times.
I’m inexplicably tired. I don’t understand. I don’t think I did anything today. Schedule for next month done and sent; 2 complaints already. Both errors on my part. Fucking hell. My kids are wonderful but I’ve had all the questions I can take for today. I don’t know why the earth doesn’t spin the other way around the sun. Sometimes for very brief, panic...
I’m in awe today. So many blessings, so much favor. Having a thankful heart and spending some quiet time with my kids before we begin our runnings for the day.
On second thought
it’s 156 yards of neon colored 2ply merino goodness, spun thick and thin. I might have to keep it.
eaglesview replied to your post: Parenting version 490603 For the record, some girls made fun of my boy for doing gymnastics at the park saying his butt was poking out, and I told him they were idiots. I get mature mom award right? :? LoL! I know! It’s a fine line between teaching your kids to ignore assholes, and teaching them to be assholes. I fall off the line often.
Parenting version 490603
Some kid at Sunday school made fun of Jeremiah today for wearing a hot pink polo-style shirt. I was talking to him about it, the normal stuff like ignore bullies and tell your teacher, and if you love the shirt it doesn’t matter what they thought… He thought a few minutes and then asked me why some boys like girly things, like Albert in the movie The Birdcage. I told him that...
Spent 2 hrs out at the park with a friend and her kids, in the 52 degree weather + wind. We’re chilled. Where did my beautiful 80 degree days go? Also I think I have wood mulch in my panties. Time for a shower, a quick round of dishes and then a “nutritious” dinner of fish sticks and french fries so we can snuggle under a quilt on the couch watching Beauty and the Beast!
I’ve been listing handspun yarns, spun by me on a drop spindle (no wheels here) in my etsy shop this afternoon. http://www.etsy.com/shop/Hamncheezr?section_id=11439219
