– Joel Stein, “Adults Should Read Adult Books” (The Power of Young Adult Fiction, Room for Debate—NYT)
up yours, buddy.

Eat my shit, Joel Stein.
(via oldtobegin)
Yeah, because you’re really qualified to be a literary critic. Last time I checked you were on lame VH1 “I...
Hannah helped me by rolling, swimming, through my carefully separated piles or red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple tulle strips. I hope I bought enough tulle. :-/
This Muppet movie is not holding my attention very well, but Hannah’s loving all the music. Glad I didn’t buy it, but also glad she’s enjoying it.
My face hurts. Stupid pollen.

Girls' night in
Jeremiah went to stay the night with his little buddy Riley, so Hannah and I are flying solo (duo?) tonight while Tony and the roomie are at work.
We went to Book’s a Million where I sneaked a couple Fancy Nancy books for her toward her birthday, then to Walmart to get some 20 cent seed packets (planted in green house: ice berg lettuce, black seed leaf lettuce, spinach mustard greens, giant...

Guess that means I’ll be stopping at the market on my way there.
Happiness!! Apparently it’s not too late to start seeds in my little green house dealy and then transplant them to the garden on May 15th with everything else!
How come May 15th is the magic date up here? Confuses the hell out I me. I...

More digging in the dirt
My back is killing me but I got all my impatiens, zinnias and marigolds planted around 1/2 of the perimeter of where my garden will be. The other long edge will be filled with sunflowers (once they’re ready to go in the ground.)
Hopefully the bunnies won’t like them and the bees will love them!!

Ooooooh! Can’t wait for fresh garden salad day at your house!
Piss. I forgot to plant spinach and lettuce.

It's transplant day
for some of my babies!! They’ve gotten too big for the little green house box. Time to enjoy some fresh air on the porch in their new pots.
If the rain will hold off a little longer I’ll be able to go stick these in the dirt around where the garden will be.
Seedlings: cucumber, (purple) green beans, squash (zucchini and yellow), roma tomato and sunflowers
Flowers: zinnias,...

I feel silly. How does one ( read: me!) forget Easter? Sheesh..so much for staying home tomorrow. Now I get to fight the crowds. x__x
Honey, Itotallyforgot and my kid’s birthday party is THE DAY BEFORE EASTER.
The good news is, we’ve got a week.
I’m leaning toward the Dollar Tree for some...

Goodmorning
Afternoon, whatever.
Slept in which would have been delicious except I woke with the whole stuffy allergy face stuff and having had a dream that left me disturbed, guilty and ashamed. Trying to shake off that feeling while I make banana chocolate chip muffins from scratch.
Tony’s attempting to set up our new TV today, which means we may be without a TV for the rest of the day.

wait..what…Easter??!!! oh crap.
Yep.
Tomorrow
Lord willing, tomorrow will consist of laying on the couch, digging in the dirt, putting up laundry, cooking real food, and reading (to myself and the kids.)
Not necessarily in that order.

Today
I went all the places.
I spent all the money.
I have all the tired.
I have all the body pain.
Bedtime?

shorthairedgirl replied to your post: Yes I’m letting my kids watch the last 10 minutes of Queen of the Damned
heh..I actually have two(!) copies. Don’t ask, long story. Guess i know what I’ll be doing with the extra copy now.
Oh no way!
My poor mother, she tried to discourage vampiric tendencies but I love all the vampire stories, movies, etc.
It took me forever to get a copy of...
Yes I'm letting my kids watch the last 10 minutes...
because I freaking love this movie and it’s never on and I don’t own the DVD.
Jeremiah just said Stewart Townsend looks like Harry Potter.
What?
Meh, I guess kinda.

Love the likeness of the drawing!
Aw thanks ladies!
It’s going to be a TON of work, and the kids will be underfoot a little bit but they’re no stranger to helping us DIY. Good life lessons...
Just spent our life savings at Home Depot
and I am so glad I bought a truck instead of an SUV, because I couldn’t have fit all of this in an SUV.
We’re in debt now, but our bathroom is going to be fantastic.
April 9- D-Day.
and Jeremiah drew a picture on one of the toilet boxes of our caravan at Home Depot:
AND I FORGOT ABOUT EASTER
I forgot my kid’s birthday party and I forgot about Easter.
I fail all the holiday things this year.
I’m too tired to worry about it tonight.
Celebrity threesome
I’m with Naimhe. Nope.
Not interested. Don’t have the attention span.
Not even totally interested in seeing celebrities naked, though mildly curious about some.
Mostly I just like to look at people with their shirts off.

I think you mean milk.
I meant milk.
My head hurts.
I fixed it after I posted it.
I’m still eating them.
Someone take this box of Frosted Mini Wheats away from me because I’m going to eat the entire thing without milk.
Got the schedule done.
Came home.
Watching the Big Bang Theory.
Ignoring Hannah’s looming birthday party because it’s stressing me out and I know there’s some rhyme or reason to figuring out how I can get what I need on sale and not have it cost me a fortune...
No focus
Here I sit, at my desk.
Time sheets and schedule in hand. Supposed to be finishing the schedule. It was due out yesterday. Planned to get a jump on the payroll, it is due tomorrow.
Staring into space instead.
Supposed to be folding a mountain of laundry.
So far, modified tshirt, watched almost all of The Return of the Jedi, folded 1 load of laundry.
Hmm.
Nothing like the last minute
Last night someone brought up that Easter is next Sunday.
Which made me stop talking and stand, with my mouth hanging open, and start to panic because I realized in that moment that it means Hannah’s birthday party is NEXT SATURDAY.
The invitations just came in the mail yesterday, so I’ve filled them out this morning and if I can figure out who we’re inviting I’ll mail...

I talked to my former “boss” tonight and asked her, if her husband had not taken on a different position at church that demanded more of her time, if she would have lasted much longer doing the job I took over from her. She said she’s pretty sure she wouldn’t have. It’s nice to know it’s not just me.
She said as far as she knows, no one has ever done the job...

I guess the mom wanted Shay but then some of her friends made fun of it. So they decided to find a name they both liked. Which is clearly proving harder than they expected.
Tony named both of our kids. If we have any more, it’s my turn. LoL

Which is the print screen button?!?!?!?!?!?!??!
All my F# buttons have little symbols on them and I’ve punched all of them. And all of them all together. Maybe I shouldn’t drink and try to figure out my new laptop? Did I mention this beer is 6%...

in my experience, that’s the point at which it’s prudent to start looking for a new job.

benadryl coma…you can stop the itch and when you pass out you won’t feel the cramp pain. :)
You are a genius.
It looks like our adventures this summer will take us to Birmingham Alabama.
The question becomes: what can we do there that’s fun for the kids and relatively cheap for us?
Hmm… *ponders and googles*
