Homeless hats

Cutting up several billion baby blankets
to make a sort of t-shirt type quilt that a woman is paying me to make for her grandson from all his baby blankets.

I had wondered why he didn’t call me at 7:30 like he normally does when he goes to lunch but I just figured he got busy and had to take a late lunch.
Not quite.
He hurt himself, ran into a press or something somehow and had to leave and go to the Emergency Room to get 10 stitches (3 of them very “deep” they told him, whatever that means.)
Sigh.

My kids must think I'm absolutely stupid
that I can’t hear them running around in circles upstairs in MY room where they are supposed to be laying on the bed and having a quiet time.
Did I think it would work? No. But them up there, away from me, for a while seemed like a good idea. I’ve put together a ham, onion and spinach quiche, put in a load of laundry and cast off a baby slipper.
