I made roast chicken, baked potatoes and corn for dinner. The chicken was so moist and it quite literally fell off the bone when I tried to cut it up to serve it, which made the whole ordeal rather messy.

Oatmeal Cookies
A few years ago my younger sister gave me a very old copy of Better Homes and Gardens’ Cookies and Candies cookbook, printed in 1966.
Tonight I made a recipe simply titled “Oatmeal Cookies.”

Random Saturday Rundown
We Easter egg hunted at my neighbor’s little Baptist church today. The people were all surprisingly friendly, and surprisingly tatted and pierced for a small rural East TN Baptist Church—about 6 people (not including us) out of about 40 (mostly kids). Really high ratio actually.

Random Friday thoughts
It just poured rain like crazy. It was so dark we had to turn on lights, even with the curtains open. We were supposed to dye eggs on the front porch. It’s done raining now and sunny, turning all the water to sticky steam but now everything’s wet so I guess we’ll do eggs in the kitchen.

The song “Breaking Inside” by Shinedown w/Lzzy Hale always reminds me of my Mom for some reason. I don’t know if that makes me sad or not.
Last night I made some binding and actually attached it to a quilt I managed to get quilted the other day. I have another one to do, if I’d go do that one I could wash both of them and list them in my etsy shop.
