The Good, the Bad & the almost funny
Today was a whiplash day. I woke up feeling crappy; I developed a headache behind my eyes. I attended the childcare staff Christmas party, with my kids in tow, and was the only person there with kids… but the kids didn’t tear up Sherri’s house so it’s all good I guess.
The bad: I finished knitting “Tony” a hat that fit Jeremiah because I ran out of yarn. The...
30 Days of Knitting: Days 2 & 3
Day 2: What is currently on your needles? Day 3: Do you have any other WIPs (works in progress)?
I currently, and you’ll gasp about this, have *nothing* on needles. I finished a hat that was supposed to be for my husband this morning but fits my son instead. Hubby loves the yarn though so now I’m armed with a plan to buy 2 skeins of the yarn and knit him a husbeast sized hat...

30 Days of Knitting: Day 1
Day 1: What was your first finished project? I have no idea what my first finished project was; truthfully. My right handed Mother taught me to knit mirror-knitting (for my left handed self) when I was about 10 yrs old, by sitting cross legged in front of her and mimicing with my yarn and needles the motions she did with her yarn and needles. 30 Days of Knitting
myconid:
I have been wanting to do a 30 day challenge, but haven’t found a knitting one that strikes my fancy, so I made my own 30 Days of Knitting Challenge. I will be starting this in a week, but start whenever you want. I’d love to hear some great/funny/horrific knitting stories! If you are going to do this, please drop your tumblr or other blog name in my ask box so I can follow along!

My "Plan" for today:
A little fore-note: Today it rained. Constantly. There was no sun, ever. My plan for today was simple:
Go to neice Aubree’s 4th birthday party Go grocery shopping Check PO box
What I really did today: Dress kids Drive to Knoxville with kids & Tony Wait in car while Tony & Jeremiah went into the mall to pay a bill (finish knitting a sock while I wait) Drive past every carlot on...
I'm on strike. Momentarily.
It’s covered in pee! The whole freaking house is covered in pee. Okay, maybe just the living room. Okay, just in front of the recliner. But the point is the potty trained 2yr old who’s already had her bath and brand new jammies she was supposed to get for Christmas from her Nana but had to wear because she had to have a bath at said Nana’s… she peed on the floor. Then...
