It’s not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world....

Jeremiah is in the shower singing the Cup song from Pitch Perfect…. which I believe is actually by Lulu and the Lampshades?
Either way, it’s cute!
Trip to Greeneville tomorrow to watch Tony’s baby sister walk in her highschool graduation, and following family time and dinner.
He wants to get up at 5 again to keep in with the new schedule he’s trying to get his body used to. O_• I told him we could get up and workout then, before we have to get the kids ready to leave for the day… but honestly I’d rather sleep til...
Decided against grocery shopping. Hurting too badly after sitting at taekwondo for an hour and a half.
Came home to find Tony watching Cry-baby. Not sure how I feel about this movie. Shrugs.
Need to do dishes. Need to update my sky chart. Need to make gold owl-feet baby booties. :-D
I drank my requisite 2 cups of coffee while crochetting a circle and watching Doctor Who in peace before my children awoke, but then I moved two kitchen cabinets and the stove, swept and mopped under them, and sprinkled the floor with borax before I put them back.
I am beyond tired of ants. I believe that calls for more coffee, another circle and more Who while Jeremiah does school online.

Much throw pillow photo spam
Finished pillow with the quote from Wuthering Heights. I used the wonky chevron fabric as the backing too. I actually bought a 16” pillow form to stuff this one, and I wish I’d just used poly-fill like the rest of them because the pillow form didn’t stuff the corners.
Sort of side view of the pillow I made with a cotton granny square on the front. I used Lily and Cream...
Today has been long. It was a good day, but I’m glad it’s winding down.
I worked twice, Jeremiah had taekwondo.
Tony picked the kids up from me at work and took them to see Iron Man 3.
I ended up getting off of work early, and instead of going home to take a shower and a nap, I walked around Old Navy ALL BY MYSELF with no one trying to run off, or climb in a clothing rack. I...
I wish I’d brought my spinning with me.
Plans to steal one of Tony’s couch throw pillows and use it as stuffing for my own throw pillows were bogus. Wrong size. Damn.
I’m at work. With only 2 kids, plus my own. I have a whole list of complaints about this, but I am thankful to have a job so….
Body hurts. Head hurts. Need sleep and polyfil.
More coffee.

Naps are tricky because you either wake up refreshed and relaxed or you have a headache, dry throat, and are unaware of what year you’re in.
Pillow picture tomorrow, and maybe a couple other ones too.
In the Great Ongoing Ant War of 2012-present, we have resolved new tactics. Chemistry has been involved, as well as the sweeping of floors and wiping of surfaces with soap water often.
What is this heresy? Already we find ourselves going to bed at a decent hour.
Attempts to feed family quinoa were minimally successful.
Hair...
Tony’s napping on the couch, in the clean and cool living room, surrounded by happy children who are watching Hannah Montana…
Life is good.
Ooooh I just used some bright dafodil yellow with tiny white polka dots fabric to sew a 14” throw pillow, with the big navy cotton granny square I crocheted sewn to the front.
It is so stinking cute!

•Turning a certain age doesn’t really make an adult
•Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian (anymore than claiming to be a Christian makes you behave like someone who actually follows the teachings of Christ)
•Being alone doesn’t technically make you lonely; being coupled does not ensure you won’t be lonel y

It makes me sad sometimes that so many of us place so much stock in validation from others. Its mostly sad when there are people who love you, who truly truly know you and offer the praise and validation and yet its not enough. As if we don’t trust those who we should trust the most. Their…

Already today I’ve:
Made an appearance (but served no purpose) at work
Hit Books a Million, the post office and Dollar General
Cleaned the bathroom
Helped Hannah clean the living room
Took out trash, emptied the litter box
Swept all the floors, had Hannah mop all the floors
Washed dishes and 2 loads of laundry
Meanwhile Jeremiah has done an adequate amount of school and is reading a...

I just realized I’m supposed to work from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
I may have to stay up when I get up with Tony at 5am, just to get done what I need for the day.

This day shift thing is going to take some getting used to.
Tony got off to work fine, I went back to bed. Because of the exhausting weekend the kids and I slept in.
We got up, ate breakfast and began school for the day.
I woke up with a bad headache and swollen, achy hands… no noise tollerance either.
With no distractions Jeremiah sat at the table and did schoolwork for almost 4 hours...
We gotta start teaching our daughters to be somebodies instead of somebody’s.

I really want a Wii game where you’re fighting Cybermen or Daleks from the Doctor’s point of view so the Sonic is your wiimote and you have to pilot the TARDIS with the nunchuck and yeah, I’d buy that.
why doesnt this exist already
Jeremiah was saying this 2 days ago!!
In 7 minutes it will be the day that the way our lives have worked for the last 8.5 years will change; maybe not forever but at least for the imaginable future. The day we’ve been trying for for 6.5 years.
I hope it’s not a disappointment.

Bad dreams, disturbed sleep. Over tired equals nightmares, maybe?
More coffee.
Home. Exhausted. I’ll be lucky if I can move tomorrow. Out of the house from 7:30am to 12:15am makes for a long day.
Dehydrated. All the water is needed. Babies asleep. Will pour powerade into them tomorrow. Bottles of water for me…will probably mean broken sleep from making trips to the bathroom.
Happy. Had a fun time riding roller coasters with my kids. Happy to see...
Ahhh, bed.
People will love you. People will hate you. And none of it will have anything to...

No sneakers to be found in my size and price range.
Worked out.
Grocery shopped.
Cut Jeremiah’s hair, helped him and Hannah each take showers.
Just spent the last hour and a hal washing and cutting up fruit. I say my family will have quick healthy snacks this week, but honestly it’ll probably all be gone by Monday night.
Still to do:
Shower.
Find us all clothes for tomorrow....
